Annual Holiday Tree Fantasy Raises More Than $160,000 To Help Orange County Families

Thanks to all who attended and supported our 34th Annual Holiday Tree Fantasy on Dec. 4 in Newport Beach. We are excited to share that this year’s event raised more than $160,000 – all proceeds that will go toward our award-winning programs and clinical treatment that give thousands of Orange County children and families the tools they need to be happy and healthy!

More than 250 attendees enjoyed amazing designer trees, a gourmet luncheon, live and silent auctions, and more. CGC Board Chair H. Kent Falk kicked off the event. “Parenting is the hardest job and the one with the least amount of training or preparation,” he said. “The work that Child Guidance Center does is to provide the support, instruction, tools and guidance to assist those who need some help. I am honored to serve as their board chair.”

Child Guidance Center CEO Lori Pack addressed the crowd, thanking everyone for their overwhelming support and generosity, as well as sharing heartbreaking statistics around children’s mental health.

“Children’s mental health matters to all of us because, without help, these children and teens are more likely to drop out of school, become unemployed or underemployed, have higher rates of incarceration, live in poverty, experience violence or homelessness, and have a reduced quality of life,” she said. “That is why we are here today – to remind our community that children’s mental health does matter and that, together, we will make a difference by ensuring that children get the help they need and have the opportunity to lead productive, successful lives.”

Thank you to our sponsors, our incredible 2016 Board Event Chair, Nicholle Trugman, and our dedicated volunteer committee for the tremendous support – your generosity made the 2016 HTF our biggest and best event ever!
