Bre Onna Mathis is the Program Director of Strong Families, Strong Children Continuum of Care. In this innovative program, Bre Onna managers Clinicians and Peer Navigators that work with FaCT funded Family Resource Centers throughout Orange County to provide FRC staff with education and support related to military and veteran families. In addition, the team works to improve the health and well-being of veterans, military connected families and children by engaging the community, building resiliency, and creating safer, more stable home environments.
Bre Onna has been working in the non-profit industry for the fifteen years. The last nine years, she has served as a transformational leader overseeing programs that serve marginalized, low socio-economic communities. Bre Onna has managed programs focused on child abuse prevention, domestic violence, trauma-informed care and mental health programs. Through these programs, she has worked in partnership with Los Angeles County’s Department of Mental Health, Department of Public Social Services, Department of Child and Family Services and First 5 LA to ensure program compliance and overall success. She has been responsible for the development, implementation, expansion and evaluation of programs and services.
Bre Onna Mathis has a Master’s degree from Pepperdine University in Social Entrepreneurship and Change. In addition, she possess a B.S. in Business, with an emphasis in Marketing, and a B.A. in Urban Education.
She is a pawrent to 2 beautiful dogs and wants to adopt 2 more. She enjoys extreme sports like bungee jumping, sky diving, swimming with sharks and white-water rafting.
